The wizarding world – and the Muggle world, too – is buzzing about the arrival of Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure. If you haven’t yet experienced it, you likely have questions: What can you expect? What are the height requirements? And, most eagerly: Can you adopt any of the magical creatures you encounter? What to Expect From Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™
Located in Hogsmeade™ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure, this attraction isn’t just immersive—it’s the most fully realized roller‑coaster at Universal Orlando Resort. It blends masterful storytelling, cutting‑edge coaster technology, and a live forest of over 1,200 trees. At the heart of the journey is Universal’s most lifelike animated figure yet: Rubeus Hagrid™. Guided by the gentle giant, you’ll venture deep into the Forbidden Forest surrounding Hogwarts™ for a wild ride teeming with creatures straight from the Harry Potter™ books and films.
The experience delivers genuine thrills without extreme loops or spins, featuring a launch that can reach 50 mph (80 km/h). The ride’s smooth, family‑friendly design means even coaster‑averse guests can enjoy it. While there are no age restrictions, riders must be at least 48 inches tall (121.9 cm).
As you soar past obstacles—including a stifling thicket of Devil’s Snare—you’ll encounter a Centaur, Cornish Pixies, Fluffy the Three‑Headed Dog, and a creature that has never appeared in a Harry Potter™ film. Remember to keep arms and legs inside the vehicle for safety.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Orlando Resort
Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure™ is the latest reason to visit The Wizarding World of Harry Potter™ at Universal Orlando Resort. The experience spans two distinct lands: Hogsmeade™ at Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley™ at Universal Studios Florida. In Hogsmeade, the new coaster complements Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey™ and Flight of the Hippogriff™, while Diagon Alley hosts Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts™. A Park‑to‑Park ticket or Annual Pass grants access to Hogwarts™ Express, the magical train that transports guests between the two locations. Board at King’s Cross Station in Diagon Alley (look for Platform 9¾) or Hogsmeade Station in Hogsmeade.
Both lands offer themed entertainment, dining, and shopping. Find your perfect wand at Ollivanders™, shop wizarding wear at Madam Malkin’s Robes for All Occasions, interact with goblins at Gringotts Money Exchange (after navigating the fire‑breathing dragon), and sip Butterbeer at the Leaky Cauldron, Three Broomsticks, and other spots.
