Plan the Perfect Birthday Party in Greater Palm Springs: 30th Brunch Inspiration
Greater Palm Springs provides an idyllic setting for birthday celebrations. Whether you're visiting from Southern California or planning from across the country or globe, enjoy unique hotels, restaurants, vacation rentals, endless sunshine, pools, palm trees, and breathtaking mountain views tailored to any event.
Our recent birthday party inspiration shoot highlights desert party ideas and trusted local resources. We staged a stylish 30th birthday brunch at ARRIVE's new Palm Springs Fan Club event space, featuring versatile indoor and outdoor areas. Desert-based photographer Erica Mendenhall captured the event and specializes in documenting celebrations of all kinds.

The custom 3-0 balloons come from Balloony Tunes, a Cathedral City staple with over 30 years in business. Conveniently next door is Boomers, offering mini golf and go-karts—perfect for kids' birthdays or fun for all ages.

We collaborated with top local vendors for this brunch setup. The table and chairs are rentals from Planks and Patina, a Palm Springs boutique specializing in midcentury modern and bohemian furniture and decor for a vintage, eclectic vibe.

The tabletop features curated items from West Elm Palm Springs, including the new Seam dinnerware collection for mix-and-match plates, gold flatware, tasseled napkins, and pink-tinted glasses. Recycled vintage glass champagne flutes are from downtown Palm Springs' Thick As Thieves.

A centerpieces of air plants, potted cacti, and succulents in small containers double as guest favors. Thick As Thieves offers terracotta-potted cacti and succulents, vintage brass containers, and air plants. West Elm Palm Springs provides a DIY planting station for terrariums and air plants.

Place cards lean against adorable miniature brass cacti (two styles available at West Elm Palm Springs). They're simple white cardstock with gold paint pen from Hobby Lobby in Rancho Mirage.

The multilayered "semi-naked" cake (layers faintly visible) is from Over the Rainbow Desserts in Palm Springs, displayed on a marble-and-brass stand from West Elm. The 3-0 topper uses mini sparklers from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Palm Desert.

Complementing the theme, Over the Rainbow created mini donuts (churro-topped and sparkly marbleized) on a marble-and-brass tray from West Elm Palm Springs.

This wider view showcases the Palm Springs Fan Club space next to the hotel—ideal for birthdays, weddings, bridal showers, bachelorettes, and more.

Thanks to all who brought this birthday brunch vision to life!
