Your Ultimate Guide to Dallas Pride Weekend 2018
Since 1972—just months after the Stonewall Riots—North Texas has been coming together to celebrate Pride and community. Over the decades, Dallas Pride has evolved into one of the South’s largest LGBTQ events, attracting visitors from across the country.
The Festival
The 2018 Dallas Pride Festival took place at Reverchon Park on Saturday, September 15, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The lineup featured music, food, and a Family Pride Zone curated by Rainbow Roundup, complete with games, live performances, and activities for kids.
The Parade
Don’t miss one of the longest‑running Pride parades in the United States. The 2018 Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade ran down Cedar Springs Road on Sunday, September 16, starting at 2 p.m. Admission was free, making it accessible to all.
The Parties
Pride weekend also offered a lineup of energetic parties hosted by the Purple Foundation—a nonprofit supporting those affected by HIV and AIDS.
