Top 7 Must-Do Experiences in the Hamptons This Summer | Curbed Guide

We're giving away an awesome trip to Montauk with our pals at Eater and PureWow. And if you're not already in the mood for a free airfare, complimentary car service, and a super chic retreat in the Hamptons, we got a list of East End must-dos from Curbed Hamptons editor Laura Euler.

CARBO-LOVING

Crullers at Montauk Bake Shoppe
The Plaza, Montauk; +1-631-668-2439
The owners insist they're jelly croissants, and while they are crescent-shaped, they're fried in classic doughnut-style. (I consider them crullers.) No matter what you call them, they're utterly delicious.

Sandwiches at Mary's Marvelous
207 Main St., Amagansett; +1-631-267-8796
I recommend the chicken salad with grapes, and while you're there, grab one of their fantastic cupcakes. Not the coconut one — that's mine.

DANCING FOR A CAUSE

Rock the Farm
Ocean View Farm, 551 Montauk Hwy., Amagansett; +1-631-267-3117
As an '80s alternative girl, I grew up skanking to the sounds of the English Beat. July 20th is the Rock the Farm concert at Ocean View Farm featuring Dave Wakeling and Co. The concert benefits The Wounded Warrior Project. Go ahead and get your tickets now.

All For The East End
Martha Clara Vineyards, 6025 Sound Ave., Riverhead; +1-631-599-9297
I am freaking out over this summer's All For The East End (AFTEE) benefit concert featuring Nile Rodgers + Chic. It's happening August 19th from 5 p.m. at Martha Clara Vineyards in Riverhead. There's also going to be a plethora of food trucks there. Better buy tix in advance.

WAXING NOSTALGIC

Shopping in Sag Harbor
I love the quaintness of this old whaling village. I feel like a kid again poking around in the variety store — so few left of this type of shop. Favorites include: buying shells in Blooming Shells (11 Washington St.; +1-631-725-9504), and looking at dollhouses in the Wharf Shop (69A Main St.; +1-631-725-0420). For more grownup shopping, I head to gorgeous vintage and new interiors boutique MONC XIII (40 Madison St.; +1-631-808-3333).

THE BIG FINISH

Gin Beach
541 E. Lake Drive, Montauk
This is the beach where I grew up, and no summer is complete without a few solid beach days here. Yes, loving the beach is a cliché — but for good reasons. There is no place more relaxing or better loved than a Montauk beach. As Isak Dinesen said, "The cure for anything is salt water: tears, sweat, or the sea."

East Hampton Fire Department Fireworks
Main Beach, East Hampton
I love ending the summer with a bang at the fireworks show put on by the East Hampton Fire Department at Main Beach. It's always the Saturday before Labor Day, and while its bittersweet to think about a Hamptons summer drawing to a close, the fireworks tradition makes it something to look forward to.
