New Breweries

A long list of noteworthy additions for this season begins in an all-important place—the taprooms and tastes you’ll be able to sample along the way. Meet the four new breweries participating for the first time during Season 5:

  • City Barrel Brewery + Kitchen: Sip a wide and ever-changing selection of sours and IPAs at City Barrel’s sprawling brick-lined space in the Crossroads.
  • Iron Kettle Brewing: Scottish roots and an affection for Europe’s inviting, storied pubs inspired this Grain Valley destination. Iron Kettle features a robust menu of ales and charming touches at every turn.
  • ExBEERiment Brewing: Bring your own lunch or dinner and settle in for a brew or two at ExBEERiment’s laid-back taproom in Gardner.
  • The Goat Brewing Co.: With a name that serves as a nod to Kansas City’s Prohibition past (political boss Tom Pendergast and his affiliates were collectively known as the Goats), pick from a wide variety of beers and ciders at this new addition in Lee’s Summit.

In addition to four all-new stops, you’ll be able to visit two familiar favorites—Torn Label Brewing Co. and Border Brewing Co.—at brand new spaces in the Crossroads Arts District. Torn Label's sunny and spacious taproom is now open, while Border's new venue makes its debut this summer.
