Santa Fe's Vibrant Horse Culture: Rodeos, Equestrian Events, and Scenic Trail Rides

The modern horse evolved over three million years ago, vanished from the Americas around 10,000 years ago, and was reintroduced by explorers like Cortes and DeSoto on breeds such as Barbs from North Africa, Sorraias from Portugal, and Andalusians from Spain. Today, in Santa Fe—The City Different—horse culture thrives with a wealth of equestrian events and services for enthusiasts.
