Chuck Fest 2016: Celebrating Lake Charles with Local Brews from Crying Eagle

#SupportLocal is more than a hashtag in Southwest Louisiana—it's a way of life. We proudly champion our local musicians, artists, chefs, and businesses.

Chuck Fest elevates this spirit, serving as the ultimate celebration of Lake Charles culture. This annual festival highlights the area's talented cultural community.

This year, the spotlight shines on beer! While Chuck Fest has long featured Louisiana-made beers and spirits, Lake Charles now has its own brewery. Crying Eagle Brewing Company debuted months ago with three standout beers, but their American cream ale, "The Chuck," takes center stage at the festival.

Named "The Chuck" in honor of Lake Charles residents—nicknamed after early settler Charles Sallier—this brew captures local pride.

True to its roots, The Chuck uses Louisiana rice and sugarcane for a crisp, clean flavor with perfect hop-malt balance. A subtle malt sweetness makes it irresistibly refreshing.

Beyond the beer, expect an exceptional lineup of bands, vendors, and family-friendly activities—even pets are welcome! Best of all, entry is free.

Mark your calendar: Chuck Fest 2016 is Saturday, Oct. 15, from noon to midnight on the 600 and 700 blocks of Ryan Street. For updates, visit www.chuckfestla.com or follow on Facebook at www.facebook.com/ChuckFestLA.
