Located in the north Georgia mountains and far from civilization, this area offers camping for horseback ridgers, riding and hiking trails, and fishing in the nearby Chattooga River. The trail provides some of the most scenic horseback riding opportunities in the Southeast. It features both rugged mountain terrain and views of the Chattooga Wild and Scenic River.

Horse camp provides two camping loops with two double unit sites and four single unit sites. Toilet facilities, drinking water, group campfire areas, and spring-fed watering trough are available. Sites have cooking grills, picnic tables and lantern posts. Restrooms are also accessible to people with disabilities.

Reservations are required and applicable fees must be received at least 10 days in advance. We are open year round.
