For the ultimate get-away-from-it-all experience, try Hester's Ferry Campground on Clark Hill - J. Strom Thurmond Lake. Escape the hustle and bustle of the city by relaxing in this quiet community, visit the town just a few miles away - and  just sit back and enjoy in the 26 shaded campsites on the lake.  Located on Fishing Creek, where it joins Thurmond Lake, this is known to be some of the best fishing on the lake.
