The Charleston Tea Plantation spans 127 acres of Camellia sinensis tea bushes and is preparing for its 2014 first‑flush harvest.

Sweet tea—cognac‑colored, refreshing, and often poured into a mason jar over crushed ice—is the unofficial beverage of Southern hospitality. In fact, it is the official hospitality drink of South Carolina.
