Utah Olympic Park: Iconic 2002 Winter Olympics Venue with Thrilling Activities
Discover Utah Olympic Park, the legendary host of the 2002 Winter Olympics ski jumping, bobsledding, skeleton, Nordic combined, and luge events. This world-class facility continues to host national competitions, featuring Nordic ski-jumping hills from 10m to 120m and a premier bobsled-luge track. The U.S. Ski & Snowboard Team trains here year-round—in summer, freestyle jumpers land in a bubble-filled jetted pool, while Nordic jumpers practice on plastic-covered hillsides. Check the schedule by phone; observation is free.
The on-site Alf Engen Ski Museum provides an immersive, interactive journey through Utah's skiing heritage and the 2002 Olympics. Expert-led guided tours depart hourly and last 45 minutes.
Ready for adrenaline? Book a bobsled ride hitting 60 mph with 4-5 Gs of force. The summer Quicksilver Alpine Slide welcomes drivers aged 8+ and riders 3-7. Harness up for the 50 mph Extreme Zip Line. Enjoy the Freestyle Show on summer Saturdays and Sundays at 1 p.m. Year-round lessons in bobsled, skeleton, free-jump, and freestyle are available—reserve ahead.
