Located in the historic Hillside Neighborhood, the Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame is dedicated to preserving the history of radio in Georgia. With an impressive collection of radio memorabilia and artifacts, the museum also honors those individuals who have contributed to the radio industry.
The Georgia Radio Museum and Hall of Fame is filled with vintage tube-style radios made by classic American manufacturers like Philco, Crosley, Silvertone, RCA and more. These iconic radios were once the centerpiece of every American home and are now treasured antiques for radio buffs and collectors.
A diverse selection of transistor radios, many of which were never released for sale in the United States, are on display along with microphones, disc records, and toy radios. A mock-up of a 1940s control room is set up with original equipment from the local WTRP radio station in LaGrange. It was from this equipment that music legends like The Beatles were the first broadcast in LaGrange, Georgia.
