Explore the Historic Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House Museum – Greek Revival Gem in Fayetteville
Atlanta Metro
Fayetteville
This Greek Revival antebellum house with its soaring columns has long been a city landmark. Built in 1855 by the Holliday family, the house gets its name from the three main owners that lived there: John Stiles Holliday, a doctor and uncle of the infamous "Doc" Holliday; Solomon Dawson Dorsey, a Confederate colonel; and Robert E. Lee Fife, a member to the last family to occupy the house as a residence. Step back in time and enjoy one of Fayetteville's finest historical attractions. The museum’s Veteran Room demonstrates Fayette County’s great respect and gratitude to the men and women whom have protected and preserved American liberty for generations. The Fayette County Authors exhibit is dedicated to local authors Robert Burch, Ferrol Sams, and Jim Minter. The Gone with the Wind Exhibit tells of Margaret Mitchell’s connection to Fayette County. These exhibits among many others, demonstrate the Holliday Dorsey Fife museum’s devotion to accurately telling the history of Fayette County.
