Aviation, airplane and engine enthusiasts alike will love the Power of the Past Museum called "one of Georgia's most significant collections of aviation artifacts" by AutoPILOT Magazine. The museum houses a historical collection of antique airplanes, antique engines and memorabilia from the private collection of the James Dekle Family. A few of the signature pieces of the collection include a Curtiss-Wright 1928 Travel Air 2000 and a 1918 French-built Anzani engine. The museum is located at the Thomasville Regional Airport and is open on the weekends and during the week by appointment.

A perfect time to view the museum is during the Thomasville Aviation Clubs' annual Thomasville Fly-In held the second weekend of October each year. Visit www.ThomasvilleFlyIn.com for details.
