New to geocaching? Rent equipment and discover caches in our parks for a tech-savvy family scavenger hunt using GPS coordinates. Join our annual April game with special caches and collectible cards. Additional caches await throughout the parks.

Capture memories with your smartphone or camera and share on Instagram using #vastateparks. Spontaneous park shots often turn out best—save them for potential photo contests.

Many Virginia libraries lend nature backpacks with tools for exploration, plus a free parking pass. Most parks also offer backpacks on-site. Find participating libraries here.
