Tee Up for the 30th Annual World Amateur Handicap Golf Tournament in Myrtle Beach

Myrtle Beach is renowned worldwide for its 100+ championship golf courses. Even Sports Illustrated has deep roots here: Pine Lakes Country Club hosted the magazine's inaugural sales conference just weeks before its 1954 debut.

It's no wonder the world's largest amateur golf tournament calls the Grand Strand home.

The prestigious World Amateur Handicap Golf Tournament returns to Myrtle Beach from August 26 to 30. Over 3,000 golfers from all 50 U.S. states and more than 20 countries will compete in days of thrilling play.

This 72-hole stroke-play event culminates in an 18-hole championship playoff. Open to golfers aged 17+ with a verified USGA handicap index or international equivalent.

Exactly 60 of Myrtle Beach's premier courses—including several top-100 public layouts—host the competition, promising an elite test of skill.

Past participants include golf legends and celebrities like Roger Clemens, Tony Womack, Annika Sorenstam, and Jeff Gordon.

Join the roster this year and make your mark. Fore!
