With gentle humming, she guides hatchlings safely to and from the shoreline, escorting them into the open sea and shielding them from danger. Thanks to Cora's vigilant care, these vulnerable turtles thrive into adulthood.

 

Where to Find Them

Over 20 Tree Spirits grace St. Simons Island, with many on private property. Fortunately, eight are accessible in public spaces, ready for discovery. Pick up a free map at our St. Simons Island Welcome Center to start your quest.

Locals and visitors alike cherish this hunt, often turning it into a family biking excursion or kid-friendly scavenger hunt.
