Top Craft Breweries in Fort Myers and Cape Coral: A Local's Guide
There's nothing quite like a refreshing craft beer to beat the Florida heat on a sunny day in Fort Myers and Cape Coral. This vibrant area boasts a thriving craft beer scene with established taprooms and exciting newcomers, perfect for locals and visitors alike.
Here are some standout breweries I visited during my recent trip to RSW Airport—I'll be returning in February, so stay tuned for updates!
Point Ybel Brewing Company
16120 San Carlos Boulevard, Fort Myers
Perfectly situated in a strip mall along the main route to Fort Myers Beach, Point Ybel offers unbeatable location and character. The cozy taproom features dark wood accents and a welcoming, homey atmosphere frequented by loyal regulars. With over 15 taps including house brews like reds, lagers, IPAs, and sours—plus four guest beers—there's truly something for every palate.

Old Soul Brewing Company
10970 S Cleveland Ave #402, Fort Myers
Tucked in a modest office park with a winery nearby, this laid-back spot serves up to 10 in-house brews alongside guest taps. The homespun vibe shines through, with the barkeep on a first-name basis with many patrons. Enjoy Tuesday trivia, monthly comedy nights, and live music several evenings a week.
Bury Me Brewing
4224 Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers
Right on busy Route 41 opposite Edison Mall, this central hotspot features an impressive 19-beer tap list, including barrel-aged options during my visit. Don't let the playful names like Hell Bound, Reaper Rye Ale, or Bone Biter IPA fool you—the brews are exceptional, crafted with genuine passion. Relax at the bar, in booths, or with foosball; outdoor seating is available near the entrance.

Big Storm Brewing Company
839 Miramar St, Cape Coral
Nestled behind Cape Coral's prime shopping and dining district in the former Cape Coral Brewing space, Big Storm draws a dedicated crowd (one regular even shared homemade jerky!). During my July visit, beers were sourced from their Tampa location, but in-house brewing of at least four varieties was slated to begin in August. My brother, a friend, and I enjoyed a wide selection.
Big Blue Brewing Company
4721 SE 10th Pl, Cape Coral
Just across Cape Coral Parkway from Big Storm, this brewery-restaurant combo is ideal for pairing brews with meals. Both food and beer receive rave reviews, complemented by a charming outdoor dining area.
