Healthy Procedures & Policies at Orlando International Airport
Orlando International Airport (MCO) is consistently rated the No. 1 mega airport in the southeastern U.S. for customer satisfaction by J.D. Power & Associates. It has implemented an enhanced cleaning schedule and updated TSA security procedures. MCO and the on‑site Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport have earned Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) Star Accreditation—the gold standard for safe venues.
All 22,000 badged airport employees must wear facial coverings inside public areas, and they practice social distancing wherever feasible, following CDC guidance.
MCO offers free face masks, hand sanitizers, and other PPE through vending machines. As Orlando and Orange County require mask use in most public places (with a few exceptions), be sure to stock up if needed. MCO also announced plans for an on‑site COVID‑19 testing clinic, slated to operate through the end of July 2021. MCO and the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority collaborate closely with federal and local partners on all COVID‑19 developments.
Orlando Sanford International Airport (SFB) partners with government officials and the CDC to help protect travelers, making Orlando one of the safest destinations to fly into.
Effective Jan. 26, 2021, all air travelers entering the U.S. must present a negative COVID‑19 test taken up to three days before arrival.
New Safety Measures for Orlando’s Ground Transportation
