Indian Wells Tennis Garden Set for BNP Paribas Open Return and Epic Fall Events
As live sports and entertainment venues reopen across Southern California, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden (IWTG) is welcoming fans back with open gates.
Recognized as one of the nation's premier sports facilities, IWTG will host three world-class events this fall 2021, led by the highly anticipated BNP Paribas Open.
Prioritizing the safety of spectators, athletes, employees, and volunteers, IWTG is partnering closely with the CDC and Riverside County Health Department to implement rigorous health protocols for every event.

BNP Paribas Open
Elite tennis returns to the desert.
After a hiatus since March 2019, the BNP Paribas Open—often called the "Fifth Grand Slam"—makes its comeback at IWTG from October 4-17, 2021. As the world's most attended combined WTA and ATP tournament, this two-week event will feature live audiences. Tickets, suites, and hotel packages are on sale now.
Aligning with IWTG's safety commitment, the tournament consults a panel of health experts, including government officials, medical professionals, and tennis stakeholders. Proof of vaccination is required for all fans, volunteers, staff, sponsors, media, and vendors. Additional protocols will be shared closer to the event.
Without a 2020 edition, 2019 singles champions Bianca Andreescu (Canada) and Dominic Thiem (Austria) remain the defending titleholders.

World Team Tennis
Following the BNP Paribas Open, IWTG hosts the 46th season of World Team Tennis (WTT) from November 13-28, 2021. Five teams will compete in 31 matches at Stadium 2.
The league leader in team tennis features recent champions: San Diego Aviators (2016), Orange County Breakers (2017), Springfield Lasers (2018-19), and New York Empire (2020). The Chicago Smash, 2020 runners-up, completes the lineup.
Though shifted from its traditional July schedule, the competition remains star-studded. Women's highlights include Kim Clijsters (Empire), Sloane Stephens (Smash, 2017 U.S. Open champion), and Jessica Pegula (Lasers). On the men's side, John Isner (Breakers) and Taylor Fritz (Aviators, top U.S. male) headline the field.
With multiple matches daily over 16 days, single-match, season, group tickets, and VIP options are available now.

Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships
Capping the fall lineup, America's fastest-growing sport arrives at IWTG for the Margaritaville USA Pickleball National Championships, presented by Pickleball Central, from December 6-14, 2021.
Rescheduled from an earlier date, the event—first held at IWTG in 2018—drew nearly 28,000 fans in 2019 and was named "Pickleball Tournament of the Year" by Racquet Sports Industry Magazine.
Over 2,500 top players will compete on 48 championship courts plus a stadium court. After skipping 2020, it returns with spectators; check the official site for ticket updates.
Like prior events, safety is paramount, with collaboration from local health authorities and full protocol adherence.
