The Lost Explorer Mezcal Tea
My drink of choice? Anything to do with mezcal. So of course I can't wait to try invigorating, detoxifying mezcal tea. It's not alcoholic, nor is it made with any part of the agave plant. It's a combination of ingredients reminiscent of the notes you normally pick up in a mezcal drink: hibiscus, black pepper, espelette chili, ginger, and clove. While I'm on the subject of beautiful expensive things I saw in Napa last week, I loved all the knives at New West KnifeWorks in St. Helena. The Jackson Hole-based company was started by a former cook who makes tools that that are as artful as they are functional.
