How to Make the Perfect Iced Vanilla Latte at Home with Acadian Coffee Roasters
Like many people, my daily routine has changed dramatically in recent weeks. One cherished habit—grabbing a morning coffee on my commute to work—is now a thing of the past.
With stay-at-home mandates, getting your favorite grande iced upside-down caramel macchiato with extra drizzle feels nearly impossible.
When I moved to Lake Charles in September, Acadian Coffee Roasters was one of my first stops. I was welcomed by the irresistible aroma of freshly roasted beans, and co-owners Nancy Holmes and Nancy Kirby gave me a personal tour of their roastery.
What sets Acadian Coffee Roasters apart is their status as a micro-roaster specializing in 100% USDA-certified organic, Rainforest Alliance, and Fair Trade Arabica beans. I watched Nancy demonstrate the meticulous small-batch steps they take to deliver the freshest blends possible. This is craft coffee at its finest, right in the heart of Downtown Lake Charles!
Choose from single-origin, flavored, gourmet blends, Swiss Water Process decaf, and seasonal options. My favorites are the Chocolate Raspberry and Colombian Dark Roast—they pair perfectly with a warm croissant or a classic Louisiana beignet. They also offer 2 oz. variety packs, ideal for sampling everything.
The great news: Acadian Coffee Roasters offers shipping and local pickup. Visit their website to order or schedule a pickup. Find their products at select Market Basket locations (Lake St., Nelson Road, Moss Bluff, and Sulphur).
