Louisiana Reauxl: Artistic Rolled Ice Cream by Father-Daughter Duo

Nothing beats the joy of a creamy ice cream scoop during Louisiana's sun-soaked summers, evoking cherished family memories. Louisiana Reauxl (pronounced like Roll), a beloved local ice cream business owned by father-daughter team Whitney Moss Griffin and John Moss, crafts visually stunning treats that are true works of art.

Their inspiration stems from family dessert traditions. In 2018, John discovered Thai rolled ice cream on the East Coast and was captivated. Louisiana Reauxl combines artistry and science: starting with liquid bases frozen on a chilled metal plate, then expertly rolled into elegant rose shapes—a mesmerizing process.

Fresh ingredients are mixed per order, frozen, and rolled before your eyes. Top flavors include Cookie Two Step (Oreo, chocolate chip cookie dough, chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and cookies) and the crowd-pleasing Birthday Cake (vanilla ice cream with sprinkles).

FUN FACT: They've used over 10,000 Oreos since opening!

Louisiana Reauxl brings their mobile setup to events, parties, and weddings, becoming a local favorite. Whitney notes the overwhelming community support: "People genuinely want to back local businesses."

“I didn’t expect so many to embrace rolled ice cream so quickly, even in challenging times. We cater anywhere—office parties, birthdays, celebrations!”

Whitney credits her motivation to unwavering family and friend support: “They've encouraged me through setbacks. As an owner, I've stepped in to help, but I love this work.”

Beyond ice cream, Whitney enjoys photography, travel, and pageantry (holding Louisiana International Junior Ms. title, competing nationally in December). She also crafts custom balloon bouquets for events, complementing her business.
