This rustic group campground off Sapelo Island has beautiful low-country scenery, with salt marsh, tidal creeks, Spanish moss, live oaks and Atlantic Ocean beaches. Groups arrive by ferry. Showers and restrooms, a group shelter, Adirondack shelters, fire ring and grills are available.
The Cabretta Island campsite is located within the R.J. Reynolds Wildlife Refuge. Set in a pristine, natural barrier island environment, the beautiful Cabretta Island camp provides a unique camping experience for those who wish to escape to a true sub-tropical setting with the coastal Georgia maritime forest, salt marshes, beaches and dunes all close at hand to enjoy.
