Farm House Inn – Authentic Kentucky Bed & Breakfast

Location:
735 Taylor Branch Rd., Parkers Lake, KY 42634
The Farm House, part of Good Spring Farm, has been home to multiple families since its construction in the early 1920s by Grant Taylor. The original log structure housed tenant farmers and the Taylor family for decades. Its core is a traditional Kentucky cabin built from logs, featuring a stone fireplace downstairs and a loft heated by a wood stove. The lean‑to kitchen has been expanded, and a dining area with large windows now overlooks the farm. The stone fireplace remains a warm focal point.
Good Spring Farm, a Kentucky Centennial Farm, has been owned and cultivated by the Taylor family for over 100 years. The hill farm produces cattle, timber, and hay, and historically supplied the family with gardens, hunting, fishing, and row crops. During Prohibition, the abundant corn yielded lucrative moonshine. These stories are woven into the Taylor legacy, reflecting Kentucky’s mountain culture.
At the Farm House Inn, guests can stroll along dramatic cliff lines, through diverse forests to waterfalls, rock shelters, and wildlife areas. Two farm ponds offer excellent fishing, while the porch provides a tranquil spot to enjoy panoramic views and the chorus of local birds.
