Emily's Welcome Inn & B&B – Historic Family Farm in Campton, KY
Location:
49 Swift Camp Creek Road
Campton, KY 41301
Emily’s Welcome Inn & B&B is housed in a charming 19th‑century cabin that has been lovingly expanded over the decades. The property, spanning 250 acres, has remained in the Lacy (Horton) family for nearly a century. Jess and Nora Horton acquired the home and surrounding land on courthouse steps for $3,860 in the late 1800s. To safeguard the farm, they deeded it to their son William with a lifetime restriction, ensuring it could not be sold or encumbered. After William’s passing, the estate passed to Emily, who raised her family here until August 2016.
Today the farm cultivates timber, pumpkins, and hay, and supports a thriving beehive and poultry operation, providing fresh eggs and homemade honey to guests. Historically, the acreage produced tobacco, hemp, corn, peppers, and even a touch of moonshine. Two additional homes on the property are occupied by other members of the Lacy family.
Guests can enjoy breakfast featuring farm‑fresh ingredients, stroll through the orchard, or relax in the rustic, comfortable rooms that blend historic charm with modern comforts. Each room is equipped with Wi‑Fi, a flat‑screen TV, and a private bath for your convenience.
