Claylick Boat‑In Campground: Primitive Riverside Escape on Cave Run Lake

Claylick Boat‑In Campground, part of the Cumberland Ranger District in the Daniel Boone National Forest, offers 13 primitive campsites on the tranquil waters of Cave Run Lake. Access is by boat or a ½‑mile walk from the Claylick Boat Ramp parking lot. Boat moorings are available for those who arrive by water.
If you choose to drive to the ramp, a parking permit is required and must be displayed in your vehicle. The campground operates as a U.S. fee area; payment is collected on site. Licenses and regulation guides can be purchased at most retail stores.
Visitors can enjoy fishing for trout, kayaking, and scenic lake views while staying in a rustic, nature‑immersed setting.
Directions:
From I‑64, take exit 133 and head south on KY 801. After 13.7 mi, KY 801 merges onto KY 1274. Continue for another 1.9 mi, then turn right onto Forest Service Road 968 (Claylick Road). A vehicle parking area is on the left; the Claylick Boat Ramp lies at the road’s end.
