COVID-19 Update:

Please note that the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia at the Sautee Nacoochee Center is open following CDC and OSHA Guidelines for Phase 2 Opening as defined by the State of Georgia.

Discovery Tours are offered free every Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon at the Sautee Nacoochee Center. They begin at 1 p.m. in the Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia, where a guide will conduct a 45-minute tour of the museum. The informal "front porch" style discussion is designed to unearth the unique talents of artists from the Appalachian Foothills of Georgia while focusing on the Museum's current exhibit. After that, the tour becomes self-guided and moves to the Art Gallery Shops in the Cultural Center to view a wide array of original, one-of-a-kind art by 274 local artists. Visitors will enjoy viewing the current juried show displayed in hallways of the 1928 Nacoochee School Building and visiting the local History Museum. To continue discovering local history and stories, ask for the on-campus Scavenger Hunt and for the Explore Helen & Sautee Nacoochee driving tour brochure.

The Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia is located at the junction of Garland Bristol Road and Hwy 255 North, (283 Highway 255 North) Sautee, GA 30571.
