After being silent for 40 years, live performances began again in 2015. The Tybee Post Theater is one of the few building used by the U.S. Army during its operation of Ft. Screven to be accessible by the public.

The now named historic Tybee Post Theater is becoming the cultural arts center for Tybee Island and the surrounding community featuring all types of live entertainment, movies and arts activities. Offering a mix of classic and first-run movies as well as live local theater productions, community-on stage events, and live music featuring all genres, including the ever popular "cover bands," this is a hidden gem on Tybee Island.
